Job description

Job Title: Group Treasury Director

We are seeking a Group Treasury Director to lead the treasury strategy for a rapidly expanding technology business with a strong presence across Africa and plans to extend into 25 countries next year. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape treasury operations during a significant growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive FX strategy, including establishing relationships with new FX partners to ensure diverse FX channels.
2. Manage treasury processes effectively in countries with developing practices, particularly across Africa.
3. Build and maintain a robust suite of payment channels.
4. Repatriate cash efficiently and manage surplus funds.
5. Oversee all banking relationships within the group and identify new banking opportunities in Europe and Africa, focusing on maximizing return on funds.
6. Support expansion into emerging markets beyond Africa.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
• Experience managing treasury functions across multiple African countries, including complex FX environments.
• Expertise in FX risk management and analysis.
