Job summary

JSS is seeking a Group Tax Manager for an in-house role based in Birmingham, with support for 3 days remote per week. The position is permanent and offers a salary in the £55,000–£65,000 range plus bonus and benefits.

You will lead a small tax team, handling both direct and indirect taxes, with involvement in advisory work, compliance, and process improvement while partnering with other functions across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct taxation or indirect taxation, gained in practice or in-house.
• Full training will be provided on areas needing development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct and indirect tax matters within the group
• Lead tax advisory projects and manage tax compliance preparations and reviews
• Drive tax process improvements and efficiency
• Partner with other internal functions on tax-related initiatives
• Manage 1 direct report
