Job summary

Peridot Search Ltd in London is seeking a Group Tax Manager who thrives on the technical side of corporate tax compliance and reporting, with scope to influence commercial tax matters beyond pure compliance.

You will own the annual corporation tax cycle, deliver tax accounting calculations, provide forecasts, answer technical queries with colleagues and HMRC, and help drive efficiency in processes while broadening advisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Qualified tax or accounting professional (ACA, ACCA and/or CTA).
• Strong experience in UK corporate tax compliance and tax accounting.
• Able to manage competing deadlines and take ownership of your work.
• Interested in building broader advisory experience alongside your core compliance and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the annual corporation tax cycle, from reviewing computations through to filing and payment.
• Delivering tax accounting calculations and supporting financial statement disclosures.
• Providing tax forecasts and explaining movements in tax balances and expected liabilities.
• Resolving technical queries with finance colleagues, external advisers and HMRC.
• Assessing relevant tax developments and putting any necessary changes into practice.
• Contributing to ad hoc advisory work, drawing on external specialist support where appropriate.
• Finding practical ways to make compliance and reporting processes more efficient.

Peridot Search are working with an established business to recruit a Group Tax Manager in London. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of compliance and reporting and wants scope to get involved in commercial tax matters.

The opportunity

Your main focus will be delivering the business’s corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements. You’ll bring together financial information, apply technical judgement and work with colleagues and advisers to ensure tax positions are accurate, deadlines are met and issues are addressed early.

Alongside the regular compliance and reporting cycle, you’ll contribute to advice on business activity and transactions.
