A well known UK based property and real estate investment group is looking to recruit a Group Tax Accountant, for their west London office. The role is a mix of VAT and direct taxes.

Skills/experience required:

  • Background in VAT compliance.
  • Experience working with large, multi-entity group structures.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance for VAT, PAYE, and CIS across the group.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Assist with the end-to-end tax compliance process, including preparation and submission of UK corporation tax and non-resident landlord returns for a large portfolio of entities.
  • Manage correspondence and interactions with HMRC.
  • Prepare tax-related disclosures for inclusion in annual statutory financial statements.
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams and external advisors on various projects and transactions.
  • Contribute to the development and reinforcement of tax governance and internal controls.
  • Support the ongoing management of the group's tax risk framework.
