Job summary

Tesco Stores Limited seeks a senior leader to own and evolve Tesco’s Group talent and succession strategy. You will align leadership pipelines with current and future priorities, drive governance of talent reviews, and collaborate with Markets, Functions and external partners to deliver robust talent outcomes.

You will leverage data and external insights to mitigate risks, develop career pathways, and champion an inclusive, high-performance culture across Tesco’s global operations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in talent management and succession planning.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on leadership pipelines and critical talent.
• Experience leading talent reviews, governance and succession discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tesco's Group approach to talent and succession, ensuring leadership pipelines support business priorities.
• Own the Group talent planning and succession approach, driving consistency across Tesco.
• Translate Group talent priorities into practical actions with alignment across markets and teams.
• Drive stronger succession for critical and senior leadership roles by improving readiness and building diverse pipelines.
• Lead Group talent reviews and governance to make priorities visible and actionable.
• Use talent insights to identify risks and improve outcomes.
• Develop and embed Tesco's careers, potential, and talent management approach.
• Partner across Markets, Functions, Capability, and HR teams to deliver joined-up talent outcomes.
• Provide expert guidance to the Group talent community and external partners.
