Job summary

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an energetic Sustainability Lead to drive the group Green Plan, align with Net Zero NHS policies and deliver measurable carbon reductions across estates, procurement, travel and clinical practice.

You will join a small team of energy and sustainability specialists, partnering with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues to embed sustainable practices and monitor emissions data for reporting to boards and regulators.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or equivalent in management or environmental discipline.
• Experience leading sustainability/change projects in complex organisations.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and budgeting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and deliver the Green Plan, aligning with NHS Net Zero standards.
• Deputise at meetings, representing the Group with credibility.
• Lead sustainability programmes across estates, facilities and procurement.
• Embed sustainable practices with clinical, operational and corporate teams.
• Manage emissions data and produce timely reports for boards/regulators.
• Identify, develop and secure funding with robust business cases.
