Job summary

TCS Contracts is seeking an experienced Group SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality compliance across multiple sites in the UK. You will lead the SHEQ strategy and drive best practices to promote a strong safety-first culture across the organisation.

The role requires NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications with extensive construction experience, plus the ability to manage audits, investigations and KPI reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH qualification and IOSH-related qualifications.
  • Experience in construction with lead responsibility for SHEQ.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain group SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality legislation.
  • Lead risk management activities including audits and investigations.
  • Produce reports and KPI monitoring for senior leadership.
  • Drive ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 improvement programs.
  • Manage SHEQ processes, training and staff awareness initiatives.
  • Lead environmental sustainability and CSR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain high compliance and quality.

Group SHEQ Manager

Location: Tewkesbury and multi-site locations

Salary: £55,000+ DOE + £4,800 Car Allowance (or Company Vehicle)

Hours: 45 Hours per Week

Contract: Permanent

TCS contracts acting on behalf of a leading specialist within the construction industry are currently looking to appoint an experienced Group SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality compliance across multiple business units and project sites.

This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to drive SHEQ strategy, develop best practice across the business and promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures across the group.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and standards.
  • Lead risk management activities, audits, inspections and accident investigations.
  • Produce SHEQ reports and KPI monitoring for senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement across ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4501 management systems.
  • Manage and develop SHEQ processes, training programmes and staff awareness initiatives.
  • Lead environmental sustainability and CSR initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior management and operational teams to maintain the highest standards of compliance and quality.
About You

You will be an experienced SHEQ professional with a strong background in construction and a passion for creating and maintaining safe, compliant working environments.

Essential Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification.
  • IOSH and ISO-related qualifications.
  • Several years' experience within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, environmental regulations, quality standards and risk management.
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Audit and compliance management experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • First Aid qualification.
Desirable
  • Scaffold Safety Inspector qualification.
  • Fire Risk Assessor qualification.
  • Workplace Driving Assessor certification.
  • Experience implementing and managing integrated management systems.
