Job Description:

Lyst is a global fashion shopping platform founded in London in 2010 and catering to over 160M shoppers per year. We offer our customers the largest assortment of premium & luxury fashion products in one place, curating pieces from 27,000 of the world's leading brands and stores. In 2025, Lyst joined Zozo, operators of Zozotown, the leading fashion e-commerce platform in Japan. This partnership marks a bold new era for Lyst, as we accelerate our vision and work together to transform the future of fashion shopping through AI and technology.

At Lyst, we obsess over the customer, providing a search & discovery experience which offers inspiration, fulfilment, and personalisation. We believe that fashion is amazing but shopping for fashion often isn't, and use our technology, data and creativity to bring more joy, greater choice and fewer fails. Our mission is to help fashion shoppers make better decisions and help fashion partners find better audiences as the category-leading destination for every fashion shopper.

About the Role

We are looking to hire a qualified individual into the Core Finance team to lead on group reporting and financial compliance. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to make a mark in a small but high performing team in a fast paced environment. As a team, we focus on ensuring our reporting is robust, whilst constantly looking to iterate and improve our processes, to maintain our position as an industry leading department. You will have a real impact on how the team transitions and develops in the next phase of Lyst’s journey, following its acquisition by ZOZO Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of accurate and timely monthly reporting to our external listed owners.
  • Be the key point of liaison with the parent accounting team, managing questions and ensuring the timely submission of deliverables and responses outside of the month end period.
  • Review month end deliverables to ensure that we hit our close and reporting deadlines.
  • Lead the delivery of quarterly controls, ensuring these are prepared and reviewed in line with best in class financial control.
  • Contribute to the annual financial audit and support a successful transition to new auditors following Lyst’s acquisition by ZOZO group.
  • Take the lead on the preparation of the statutory Financial Statements.
  • Run all tax compliance exercises for both Lyst Ltd and Lyst Inc, including corporation tax returns, taxable benefit submissions and indirect tax submissions.
  • Work with external advisors to produce an annual R&D claim.
  • Own the insurance process, including annual renewals by liaising closely with external brokers and internal stakeholders, and ensure appropriate risk management is in place.
  • Provide cover for key team members during periods of absence to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Review monthly payroll, liaising with our People Team and third-party payroll providers as required.
  • Contribute to projects across the Finance team, including autonomously driving change to improve processes, identify efficiencies and deliver insight.

We are committed to treating all applicants fairly and equally, and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply for this role. We are happy to talk about flexible working arrangements.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Lyst we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
