About the Opportunity

A leading international organisation is seeking a Group Reporting Advisor to join its growing Group Reporting & Consolidation function. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong technical reporting experience to take ownership of key external reporting processes within a complex, multi-entity environment.

The Role

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to an experienced reporting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing challenging deadlines, solving complex accounting issues, and driving improvements across reporting processes.

You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality reporting outputs while supporting the continued development and optimisation of the Group Reporting function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of shareholder financial reporting packs, including quarterly reporting and investor-related requirements.
  • Own the end-to-end preparation of group and subsidiary statutory financial statements, from initial preparation through to final submission.
  • Act as the internal specialist for IFRS 16 lease accounting, providing technical guidance and ensuring consistent application across the business.
  • Support deferred tax calculations and assessment of group tax balances in line with IAS 12 requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and key internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support group consolidation activities, audit processes, and wider external reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and evidence compliance with financial covenants and reporting obligations.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, automate processes, and improve reporting efficiency.
About You

You will be a technically strong accountant with experience in group reporting and consolidation within a complex organisation. You will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and communicating technical accounting matters clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting, ideally within a large group or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of group consolidation and statutory reporting processes.
  • Practical experience applying IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 16 Leases.
  • Experience working with external auditors and delivering against tight reporting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • A proactive approach with an interest in process improvement and automation.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience within a complex international or multi-jurisdictional organisation.
  • Exposure to debt reporting, bond covenant compliance, or investor reporting.
  • Background within sectors such as energy, infrastructure, natural resources, or other asset-intensive industries.
What’s on Offer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing finance function, gaining exposure to complex reporting activities, technical accounting challenges, and senior stakeholder engagement.

The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving reporting processes, strengthening controls, and supporting the continued growth of a specialist Group Reporting team.

This is a priority hire for my client, so immediate or short-notice availability is highly advantageous. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this position, and candidates must already be based within a reasonable commuting distance of the City of London offices.
