Job Description:

As a Group Reporting Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for their rare gems and stones mining company. You will be responsible for consolidating financial data from various entities within the group, analysing financial performance, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and strategic decision-making of our clients dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate financial statements and reports for the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing insights to management for decision-making.
  • Coordinate with finance teams across different locations to gather relevant financial information and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, supporting strategic planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any queries or findings.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, recommending adjustments to financial processes as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by senior management.


  • Qualifications:
    • Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent. Preferably Audit trained.
    • Proven experience in financial reporting, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and consolidation techniques.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build positive working relationships.
