Job description

Group Reporting & Consolidation Accountant
Central London £60,000-£70,000 + benefits

An excellent opportunity to join the Group Finance team of a highly desirable, PE-backed international business as a Group Reporting & Consolidation Accountant.

Based in a newly refurbished central London office, this is a broad Group Finance role offering genuine ownership across group reporting, consolidation and IFRS accounting, within a business that is continuing to evolve and grow.

We are looking for a qualified accountant who is technically strong, organised and collaborative, and who enjoys taking ownership and making a meaningful contribution within a high-performing finance team.

The role

A a key member of the group finance team, you will take ownership of a range of Group reporting and consolidation activities, working across the wider business to ensure accurate, timely and insightful financial information.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and supporting Group consolidation and reporting activities.
  • Supporting the production of accurate and timely Group reporting.
  • Support with M&A
  • Reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances.
  • Applying IFRS accounting principles across Group reporting activities.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial information from multiple entities across the Group.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement and simplification of Group Finance processes.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Group Finance and the wider business.
  • Taking ownership of your areas of responsibility and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Supporting the team through year-end and wider Group reporting cycles.
About you

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant with genuine experience within a Group Finance environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Previous experience in Group Finance, Group Reporting or Group Accounting.
  • Hands-on experience of Group consolidation.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Experience with financial reporting and balance sheet review/reconciliation.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a practical approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

You don't need to have trained with a Big Four firm, and a particular industry background isn't essential. We are much more interested in what you have actually done in Group Finance than the name of your previous employer.

You might be someone who has moved from practice into Group Finance and built solid industry experience, an established Group Accountant looking for their next move, or a qualified accountant from a smaller organisation looking to broaden their Group Finance exposure.

The right personality

You’ll be a reliable, thoughtful and collaborative finance professional who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, enjoys working with others and is confident asking questions, challenging where appropriate and finding practical solutions.

This is a role for someone who wants to build their expertise within Group Finance while working in an environment where quality, continuous improvement and collaboration are valued.

Why consider the role?
  • £60,000-£70,000 salary, depending on experience.
  • Opportunity within a highly desirable PE-backed business.
  • Genuine Group Finance exposure across reporting and consolidation.
  • Opportunity to work closely with an experienced and newly structured Group Finance team.
  • Scope to contribute to process improvement and transformation.
  • International business with an evolving and ambitious finance function.
  • Newly refurbished, attractive central London offices.
  • A role offering strong exposure and development within Group Finance.

Please note: given the timing of the hire, we are particularly interested in candidates who are immediately available or working a short notice period.
