Job summary

Legal & General Group in the UK is recruiting a Group Protection Scheme Underwriter. You’ll review quotations, apply pricing, and assess risk across a range of cases, from smaller schemes to large datasets.

The role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, intermediate Excel, and clear communication with intermediaries. Travel to the Hove office is occasional, and we offer a comprehensive package including a performance bonus and generous pension.

Responsibilities

• Costing and underwriting new and existing Group Protection scheme quotations.
• Assessing risk and applying pricing in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Analysing and manipulating scheme data using Excel.
• Managing a varied workload of straightforward and complex cases.
• Communicating clearly with intermediaries when specialist input is required.
• Developing your technical knowledge and progressing your underwriting authority.
