Job summary

Legal & General is recruiting a Group Protection Scheme Underwriter to join our team. You will review quotations, assess risk and apply pricing in line with underwriting guidelines, with ad hoc travel to the Hove office.

The role blends analytical work with practical decision making in a dynamic environment. You will develop technical underwriting knowledge, handle a varied workload, and collaborate with underwriting, sales and operations to deliver accurate results.

Responsibilities

• Costing and underwriting new and existing Group Protection quotations.
• Assessing risk and applying pricing in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Analyzing and manipulating scheme data using Excel.
• Managing a varied workload of straightforward and complex cases.
• Balancing accuracy with efficient delivery.
• Collaborating with underwriting, sales and operational teams.
• Communicating clearly with intermediaries when specialist input is required.
