Role: Group Process Safety Engineer

Location: Cheshire (Multi Site Role)

Industry: High Hazard - HAZOP, COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR

We are currently partnering with a well-established and respected distribution business that operates across multiple UK sites. Known for its commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility, the company is now seeking to appoint a Group Process Safety Engineer to support its ongoing growth and regulatory compliance efforts.

This is a high-impact role within a business where process safety is a core pillar of its success. As Group Process Safety Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in driving best practices around major hazard identification, risk management, and regulatory compliance, particularly in relation to COMAH regulations.

Working closely with the Group SHE Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring robust systems are in place across sites to uphold the highest process safety standards, while providing expert guidance to local teams and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of process safety best practices across the group’s operations.
  • Ensure compliance with COMAH and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality hazard identification and risk assessment activities (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.).
  • Provide strategic input on process safety improvement plans and support site-level execution.
  • Support the SHE function with technical input related to major accident hazards and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and SHE teams to embed a strong safety culture.

Requirements:
