Overview Of The Role
The Group Marketing Manager at Landmark Theatres will lead high-quality marketing and communications campaigns across all venues, focusing on promoting shows and enhance audience engagement across our produced and created programme. This role will involve effective management of teams to ensure timely delivery of campaigns across all areas of the theatres. This role requires strong collaboration with the programming team and other departments is essential to ensure timely and impactful communication outputs. The Group Marketing Manager will strategically plan, manage, and execute marketing and audience development campaigns to meet financial targets and maximize attendance, particularly for theatre productions, while working with the Head of Content to broaden audience reach and enhance the theatre's reputation.
The role is subject to a 6-month probation period to ensure the successful candidate is suitably supported to carry out their duties. For this role we would require a 1 month notice period.
Key Responsibilities
Audience Development
You will lead on actions as part of Landmark Theatre's audience development plans with a strong focus on retention marketing and driving customer engagement, frequency and loyalty, as well as generating audience growth.
Leadership & People
Strategic Leadership: Provide exceptional leadership in marketing planning and execution across all 4 theatres.
Oversee operational delivery-related shows but also support, commercial events, fundraising events, promotion and communications supporting our talent development strands as well as the venue food and beverage offers.
Collaboration: Support the Head of Content by coordinating communications and engaging key stakeholders.
Team Management: Lead the marketing department, fostering motivation and growth within the team. Utilise strong leadership skills to inspire and manage the team, guiding them to achieve successful marketing activities and campaigns while enhancing their capabilities and improving workflows across the organisation.
Finance
Budget Management: Manage campaign budgets in consultation with the Head of Content, ensuring expenditures are tracked for value and accuracy.
Ensure teams maintain strong financial controls
Ensuring cost-effective approaches within agreed budgets, analysing efficacy for optimal returns.
Campaigns
Creative Campaign Development: Plan and execute innovative marketing campaigns for Landmark Theatres, including fundraising, talent participation, and commercial activities such as events and catering.
Take overall responsibility for marketing literature, production and distribution including scheduling, ensuring deadlines are met, copywriting, artistic liaison, as well as managing relationships with printers, designers and mailing houses.
Drive multi-channel marketing programmes and campaigns and build stakeholder and customer engagement
Plan creative and effective marketing campaigns for Landmark Theatres producing, co-producing and receiving shows.
Work to ensure that all campaign and public facing materials align with Landmark Theatres Brand.
Website, Social Media and Digital
Ensure the website and its content is accurate and high quality
Ensure the social media and CRM schedule is effectively maintained, ensuring all campaigns have been consulted.
Fully embrace digital opportunities to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
Data & Sales
Work closely with the Head of Content, offering reports and insight.
Utilising and evaluating audience data in our CRM (Spektrix) to build a ticketing and sales strategy and create digital marketing campaigns.
Work to ensure that marketing supports the achievement of income and attendance targets.
Monitor sales figures and assess the effectiveness of marketing activity.
Support the full team in creating a strong data culture across the organisation while working closely with the Ticketing & Audience Insight Manager
Work with the rest of the Marketing, Programming & Sales Team to evaluate show campaigns, interpreting statistical analysis from Spektrix, Audience surveys and Google analytics
Support the Head of Content in analysing sales patterns and evaluating activity and continuously improve campaigns to increase Return on Investment (ROI).
Work with the Ticketing & Audience Insight Manager to initiate ticket offers/incentives with external organisations and agents

Person Specification
Essential
Strong experience of the development and delivery of effective email marketing strategies and managing campaigns to drive retention and grow loyalty.
A solid understanding of the role of data and insight in CRM with a proven track record of database segmentation and incorporating testing into campaign design.
A solid understanding of the key metrics associated with CRM campaigns and the ability to translate these metrics effectively into meaningful insights, for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A track record of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of working within brand guidelines and ensuring that content is high quality and meets brand standards.
An understanding of design best practice for email
Desirable
A Higher Education qualification in marketing/communications or equivalent.
Some experience of arts marketing or working within an arts organisation.
Experience in using CRM
