Job Description

Glasgow is the heartbeat of the Scottish economy and the centre of Scotland's only metropolitan region. We are a dynamic, talented city with a robust business base, an educated workforce, and well-established infrastructure. We are home to world-renowned seats of learning, thriving key sectors, and serve as a retail, events, and cultural destination. Additionally, Glasgow is an international hub for business, tourism, and higher education.

Join our Building Standards service, where you will have the opportunity to experience this vibrant city and pursue a successful and rewarding career. The breadth and range of Building Standards work here is unparalleled within Scotland.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Building Standards & Public Safety, and operating effectively in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible, either directly or through line management with a fellow Group Manager, for the daily delivery of our expanding Building Standards service. Candidate Profile

We are seeking someone with a strong sense of customer service, excellent communication and leadership skills, a clear understanding of quality assurance, and an appetite for development and continuous improvement.

You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with proven managerial experience in delivering a quality Building Standards service. The ability to plan, allocate, and organize work to meet service standards and manage complex, competing priorities is essential.
