Job summary

Lawfront is recruiting a Group Management Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support financial reporting across the Group. You will work closely with the central finance team on consolidations, audit management and acquisition accounting within a multi-entity structure.

You'll lead month-end closes, prepare group management accounts and provide insightful analysis for senior stakeholders while contributing to finance transformation initiatives and system improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or nearing completion).
• Proven experience in Group / Management / Financial accounting roles.
• Strong month-end close and multi-entity reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close across multiple group entities with accurate reporting.
• Lead month-end activities for holding companies including journals and consolidations.
• Prepare monthly group management accounts, board packs and analysis.
• Provide variance analysis, KPI reporting and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Support audit processes and liaise with auditors and finance teams.
• Assist with acquisition accounting and integration of new businesses.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects and reporting enhancements.
• Partner with Finance Directors, Managing Partners and senior leaders.

With an acquisitive growth strategy and a focus on operational excellence, we are looking for an experienced Group Management Accountant to join our central finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial management of the Group.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting across the Group. This is a varied and hands-on role offering exposure to group reporting, consolidations, audit management, finance transformation projects and acquisition accounting within a complex multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process across multiple group entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead month-end accounting activities for holding companies, including journals, reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
• Prepare monthly group management accounts, board packs and insightful financial analysis.
• Deliver meaningful variance analysis, KPI reporting and performance commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Act as a key contact during the annual audit process, liaising with auditors and finance teams across the Group.
• Support acquisition accounting activities and assist with the integration of newly acquired businesses.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including systems implementation and reporting enhancements.
• Partner with Finance Directors, Managing Partners and senior business leaders across the organisation.

About You

• We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be nearing completion).
• Proven experience in a Group Accountant, Management Accountant or Financial Accountant position.
• Strong month-end close and management reporting experience within a multi-entity environment.
• Experience preparing consolidated management accounts and group reporting.
• Excellent reconciliation and financial analysis skills.
• Experience supporting external audits and financial control processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.

Desirable Experience

• Acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integration.
• Finance transformation projects and systems implementations.
• Exposure to FP&A systems or practice management platforms such as Aderant.
• Professional services, legal or private equity-backed businesses.
