JOB TITLE Group Management Accountant

SHIFTS Mon-Fri 39 hours/week

SALARY Up to £45,000 (DOE)

BASE Hesketh Bank, Preston (Hybrid)

We are looking for a talented and motivated Management Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about financial reporting, process improvements, and working in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, with comprehensive commentary, for review by the Financial Controller and Finance Director.
• Consolidate Group results, including financials from overseas businesses.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure robust financial planning.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and support the external audit process.
• Manage VAT, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain strong financial controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
• Contribute to ad hoc project work as required.

• Qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
• Previous experience in a similar Management Accountant role.
• Strong communicator, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong systems and Excel knowledge; experience with Netsuite is an advantage.
