About the role

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team for a 12-month maternity cover. Reporting into the Group Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the monthly Management Accounts for the Group (EMEA, North America & APAC), as well as managing the month-end timelines.

We seek a motivated self-starter with knowledge and experience of both retail and ecommerce transactions and reconciliations. Responsibilities include maintaining balance sheet and month-end reconciliations.

As a Group Management Accountant, you will:

• Own and manage the month-end process for the Group, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
• Prepare and distribute the Group management accounts and provide timely, relevant reports.
• Maintain overseas accounting ledgers and collaborate with accounting firms for statutory account preparation to ensure compliance.
• Complete turnover rent submissions and lead turnover certificate audits for UK stores.
• Conduct variance analysis reporting and liaise with stakeholders across the business.
• Assist with the year-end audit process and other compliance/regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including Supplier rebate provision and intercompany accounts.
• Support the Group Reporting Manager in implementing internal control processes, policy creation, and process documentation.
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects.

About you

• Part Qualified Accountant (or above) - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of UK Accounting Standards
• Experience with the month-end process is essential
• Retail experience
• Proven ability to implement processes
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Sum If, etc.)
• Flexible, proactive, eager to learn
• NetSuite experience is desirable
