Job summary

Career Legal is seeking a Group Litigation Associate (3+ PQE) for its London office to handle Personal Injury/Serious Injury claims. You will work with Partners and Senior Associates on a long-term bulk claim and lead a team of paralegals to progress clients’ claims.

The role requires England & Wales qualification, 3+ PQE in Group Litigation or PI/Serious Injury, and regular attendance in London. Supervisory experience is preferred, and you will draft correspondence, review documents, and

Qualifications

• England & Wales qualified lawyer or barrister with a minimum of 3+ PQE.
• Experience in Group Litigation or Personal Injury/Serious Injury preferred.
• Ability to commute regularly to the London office.
• Experience supervising trainees and/or paralegals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and Senior Associates on specific claims.
• Prepare correspondence for opposing counsel and clients.
• Review legal documentation before court submissions.
• Conduct extensive legal research and draft documents.
• Lead a team of paralegals and other staff to progress bulk claims.

Our client, a specialist Litigation law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced England & Wales Qualified Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis in their London office, working as a Qualified Associate focusing on Personal Injury/Serious Injury.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a recently appointed Partner on a brand new long-term claim with the firm – surrounding Personal Injury/Serious Injury.

As the successful Group Litigation Associate, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Working closely with Partners and Senior Associates on a specific claims case
• Preparing correspondence to both opposing Counsel and for clients
• Reviewing various legal documentation, prior to submission to the Court/Tribunal
• Conducting extensive legal research and drafting of legal documentation
• Leading a team of Paralegals (and other business professionals) to progress clients’ claims in a bulk setting
• Resolving potential data issues and queries with gathering client information

To be considered, you’ll need to have/be the following:

• Be an England & Wales Qualified Lawyer / Barrister, minimum of 3+ PQE
• Have experience working in Group Litigation or within Personal Injury/Serious Injury (or both)
• Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
• Ideally, have experience of supervising Trainees and/or Paralegals
