Job description

We are looking for a Group Leader to take the lead on Group activities and delegate tasks and roles accordingly for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group.

What's involved?
  1. Plan, prepare for, and facilitate group meetings.
  2. Ensure appropriate decisions are made in a timely way when required.
  3. Support group volunteers in planning and coordinating group activities.
  4. Ensure group volunteers are aware of and follow the Association's policies and procedures.
  5. Work in partnership with staff to recruit new volunteers and induct and mentor new volunteers.
  6. Act as an ambassador for the Association and as a host at group events.
Skills and qualities needed
  • Leadership skills, facilitation skills, and experience of running meetings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to act in an impartial way.
  • Ability to delegate work.

Role details

Group Leaders will work approximately 2-3 hours a week and facilitate about 4 meetings a year.

Training and induction

You will receive an induction to the role and information about the Association, including e-learning, face-to-face training, and mentoring. The training will include experiential and reflective learning.
