Countlines & Small Bites (CL&SB) is one of MEU Chocolate Growth platforms, with team members located in Bielany Wrocławskie (Poland) and Bournville (UK). This role is to manage the CL&BS group based in the UK, where this position is also based. This is 8 months secondment role.

CL&BS team is responsible for delivering growth projects for CL&BS platform, that comprehends MEU portfolio for all countlines, small bites, grocery, spreads, licensing, away from home (AFH) .

On this position you will be responsible for leading technical professionals based in Bournville Technical Center as well as leading the projects portfolio related to Chocolate Product Development for MEU region with the focus on UKI and Nordics markets.

How you will contribute

Independently manage/lead individual scientists and cross-functional project teams with large to major business impact, including multiple business partners, to develop plans to execute strategies or goals.

Effectively allocate resource, defines, initiates and executes projects to successfully deliver business-related results, by driving technical project implementation.

Demonstrate effective people management, development and coaching of those within and outside his/her team. Effectively screen and recruit individuals for your team and give input on high talents within the team.

Demonstrate good technology skills, know who to consult regarding other technical areas and you will be able to leverage resources from multiple locations (e.g. external suppliers, other sites, universities, etc).

Facilitate join up between teams located in different tech center, within CL&BS platform, cross-platforms and cross-functions.

Demonstrate strong influencing skills, which lead to more autonomous leadership of projects.

Effectively communicate information and influence senior management (Senior Director / VP) within and across categories (as applicable) and externally.

Follow Mondelēz International’s Policies (Code of Conduct, PQS, GMP, etc.) Employee Safety and Food Safety are paramount (no exceptions, no risk taking) – role model behavior is expected.

Stimulate and push team for Knowledge Management and Intellectual Property process.

What you will bring

Master’s Degree in Science/Food Science/Engineering

Significant years of experience in a R&D environment (understanding of R&D Ways of Working, policies, specification excellence mindset.)

Desirable technical understanding of products and processes for chocolate category

Experience in people management and development, with ability to inspire people and get the best from each individual

Successfully delivered business-related results, (e.g. implementation of new technology, productivity, quality improvement or growth) by driving technical project implementation

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
