About the Job:

Walker Cole International is currently seeking a talented and experienced Group Leader – Formulation to join our team. We are a reputable pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and development organization based in Leicestershire. As the Group Leader – Formulation, you will be responsible for leading the formulation department and overseeing the pharmaceutical development activities at our on-site facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and provide leadership to a team of formulation scientists, ensuring their professional development and growth.
2. Take charge of formulation development projects and drive them to successful completion within defined timelines and budgetary constraints.
3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure effective project execution.
4. Provide technical expertise and support to the business development team in client engagements, proposal development, and addressing technical inquiries.
5. Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends in formulation development, dosage forms, and regulatory requirements.
6. Ensure compliance with quality standards, GMP guidelines, and regulatory authorities’ guidelines throughout the formulation process.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
2. Extensive industry experience in the pharmaceutical sector, preferably in a formulation development role.
3. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals.
4. Strong knowledge and technical expertise in small molecule technologies and oral solid dosage forms.
5. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and requirements governing pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
