About the Role

We’re working with a high-growth, Private Equity Backed, retail group currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation. They are seeking a proactive and hands-on Group IT Project Manager to join their Group IT team. This permanent position reports into the Group IT Director and offers a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of key business and technology projects across functions such as Commercial, Finance, HR and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of business and technical projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
  • Define project scope and objectives, engaging relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop detailed project plans, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule and costs through appropriate controls
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RAID logs and formal reporting to IT leadership
  • Oversee quality control, risk and change management processes
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to manage interdependencies
  • Engage stakeholders across Group and Regional IT, Finance, Commercial, HR, Payroll, Legal and Retail Operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ project management experience within Retail, FMCG, or Hospitality
  • Proven experience managing multiple, high-profile IT projects across key business functions
  • Demonstrated end-to-end delivery of CRM, CDP, website, digital PM and cross-functional IT projects
  • Proficient in MS Project and Proggio (or similar portfolio/project management tools)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Strong supplier management and business analysis capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with detailed project controls and documentation
  • A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to manage pressure and prioritise effectively

Key Stakeholders

Group and Regional IT departments, Finance, Payroll, Commercial, HR, Retail Operations (Site Operations, Site Finance), and Legal.
