This role is integral to ensuring that all insurance-related activities align with our strategic objectives, safeguarding our assets while supporting operational resilience. Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate & Deputy Company Secretary and working closely with the Group Legal Director & Company Secretary, the successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders, brokers and insurers to deliver a best-in-class insurance programme.

What you’ll be doing:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for all insurance matters, working closely with Finance, Risk & Safety (Jet2holidays), Safety, Compliance & Security (Jet2.com), Legal, Property, Aircraft Acquisitions and Operational teams to advise on certification, coverage, liabilities and contractual obligations.
- Policy Procurement and Renewal: Lead the annual insurance renewal process, including data gathering, broker negotiations, securing optimal coverage at competitive premiums, and ensuring accurate budgeting.
- Claims Management and Legal Claims Liaison: Oversee the insurance claims process, ensuring timely filing, resolution and recovery and support the Jet2holidays Legal Claims function to ensure insurer engagement and data accuracy.
- Training and Education: Help colleagues understand insurance processes and how their actions contribute to risk mitigation and improved outcomes.
- Insurance Strategy and Market Analysis: Develop and implement insurance strategies aligned with our risk management framework and operational needs and monitor insurance market trends to identify opportunities for enhancements to our risk profile.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with functions across the business to assess exposure and determine appropriate coverage for operational and strategic risks.
What you’ll have:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate insurance. Aviation or travel sector experience is desirable but not essential.
- Professional Qualifications: A professional qualification in Insurance is advantageous but not essential.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to assess complex scenarios and craft tailored insurance solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful negotiations with brokers and insurers.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in policy documentation and claims management.
