Job description

Group Insurance Lead / Technical and Strategic Operations Insurance Manager is required to join our team at A2Dominion based in Ealing. The ideal candidate is certified in Insurance, a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance, with technical/strategic experience and significant claims management and analysis knowledge.

This role is known internally as a Group Insurance Lead.

SALARY: £68,000 - £76,000 per annum (DOE) + Generous Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid working – partly from the office in Ealing (W5), and partly from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week

Job Overview

We offer a fantastic opportunity for a certified Insurance professional with strategic expertise and claims management experience to lead our insurance strategy and portfolio, ensuring appropriate coverage and efficient claims handling.

You will also manage and develop the wider insurance team, overseeing engagement, performance, and personal development.

Duties

Your responsibilities include:

• Insurance Matters:
• Develop and manage the Group’s Insurance Strategy
• Provide strategic support on insurance demands, challenge risk transfer requests
• Lead development of complex insurance programs, policies, renewals, and negotiations
• Manage broker, insurer, consulting, and loss adjusting contracts
• Identify and implement new insurance products
• Present risk profile information to insurers
• Evaluate and recover insurance costs from stakeholders
• Develop communication and training strategies
• Manage claims recording systems and procedures
• Act as in-house Loss Adjuster for claims management
• Maintain the insurance register

• Business Continuity:
• Develop and maintain the Group’s business continuity framework and policies
• Manage the business continuity plan for the Governance and Compliance team
• Advise senior management on business continuity issues
• Lead incident management and validation processes
• Develop and deliver training on business continuity
• Report regularly to senior committees on business continuity status

Candidate Requirements

• Certified in Insurance, Chartered Institute of Insurance
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance
• Certificate in Loss Adjusting, Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters
• Strong technical and strategic insurance knowledge
• Understanding of insurance markets relevant to the organization
• Knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks
• Claims management and analysis expertise, ideally certified as a Loss Adjuster or senior claims manager
