As the Group Health & Safety Manager, based in the Barnet office, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading the company’s H&S standardisation and process modernisation. This role is pivotal in embedding best practices across all levels of the organisation, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance.
The role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in social housing or planned maintenance. The candidate must be adept at balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on, day-to-day site support. This role is not suited for individuals from a Tier 1 Design & Build or infrastructure background, as the delivery model and operational focus differ significantly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the company-wide H&S strategy.
- Standardise health and safety processes across all sites.
- Modernise existing practices to align with current regulations and best practices.
- Provide operational H&S oversight in London and the South East.
- Support site teams with practical, day-to-day health and safety guidance.
Skills and Experience Required:
-Must have experience in health and safety on construction sites, implemented processes and procedures
- Extensive experience in health and safety management within social housing or planned maintenance.
- Proven track record of leading H&S standardisation and process improvements.
- Strong understanding of current health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with operational support.
