Role Summary:

The Health & Safety Officer will support, advise, and train colleagues across all levels of the business. The role involves conducting approximately 70 site audits annually, primarily in retail stores, distribution centres, and office spaces. The officer will serve as the first point of contact with EHO’s, Fire Officers, and other agencies, and will handle post-incident investigations and assist in reviewing and creating safe systems of work and risk assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience preferred, or relevant retail/warehousing experience with appropriate health and safety qualifications.
• Technical knowledge of current health & safety legal requirements.
• Membership of IOSH and NEBOSH diploma or equivalent required.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels.
• Self-motivated with strong report writing skills.
• Practical, commercial approach to health and safety legislation.
• Comfortable and competent in training others on health and safety topics.
• Ability to deliver health and safety solutions in a commercial environment.
