Role Overview

This is a new role due to the expansion of Sunrise Beverages to include St. Peter's Brewery, Curious Brewery, Portobello Brewery and Gipsy Hill Brewery. The Group Head of Operations Finance will be responsible for conducting all operational finance aspects of the Sunrise Group and its subsidiaries. You will build and manage a team, predominantly based in Bungay, that will work with you to achieve your goals. You will also collaborate closely with the OpCo's to align reporting standards, information and implement standard operating practices.

Key Responsibilities

Group Operational Finance Procedures

• Lead Group Operational Finance functions to a high standard in collaboration with OpCo's, producing comprehensive management accounts, year-end statutory accounts and consolidated group accounts in line with UK accounting standards
• Specific functions of the team include credit control, purchase ledger, invoice and PO approvals and tracking, bank reconciliations, payment runs, stock reconciliations, product costings, ledger reconciliations, monthly journals, HMRC compliance including VAT and Beer Duty submissions, product costings, management accounts, budgeting and cashflow forecasts

Group Reporting

• Lead and support a team to produce high quality financial reports by OpCo/Brand and for Sunrise group on time (i.e. by working day 10 of the following month) with a high level of accuracy
• Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure consistent ledger terminology and information is included in a consistent way across OpCo's
• Ensure systems and templates remain up-to-date and within latest technology requirements

Team Management and Motivation

• Ensure a high level of Operational Finance team motivation
• Work with relevant team members and the Director of Commercial and Finance Operations to develop employees, including formal and informal training and career path development

Skills

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
• Competent in all Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel to an advanced level
• Excellent communication skills for presentation of information both verbally and in written format
• People management with focus on successfully co-ordinating the work of others alongside own workload and motivating the team
• Attention to detail to evidence accuracy in all work produced and complete/follow through on all tasks of the team

Working hours: Monday to Thursday – 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm although some flexibility will be required, with half an hour for lunch.
