Job summary

Bellway's Group Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Future Talent Development Coordinator for Programmes & Recruitment. You will shape and coordinate development programmes for apprentices, graduates and trainees, aligning with Bellway’s long-term people strategy.

Working with external providers and internal teams, you will own the end-to-end talent journey, oversee funding and levy utilisation, measure outcomes with data, and help build an employer-of-choice brand across the UK.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading on early careers or talent programmes in a large multisite organisation.
  • Experience designing recruitment processes and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience using data to drive improvement and decision-making.
  • Experience managing external partners/suppliers with commercial accountability.
  • Experience managing Apprenticeship Levy funding or provider funding agreements.
  • Experience influencing future talent or skills development activities at a programme level.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with divisional teams and learning providers to align programmes with long-term workforce needs.
  • Oversee funding planning including Apprenticeship Levy utilisation and opportunity identification.
  • Lead and improve the Good Foundations leadership programme.
  • Own annual future talent recruitment, including attraction strategy and assessment design.
  • Coordinate enrolment, onboarding and pre-boarding for graduates, trainees and apprentices.
  • Define and monitor success metrics using data to improve programme effectiveness.
  • Manage training providers, contracts and delivery quality.
  • Represent Bellway at events to broaden access to housebuilding careers.
  • Recognise cohort achievements through events and communications.
  • Act as Deputy Safeguarding Officer and ensure compliance with procedures.

There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Group Head Office, located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a Future Talent Development Coordinator for Programmes & Recruitment to join the Group HR department.

The Role

As Future Talent Development Coordinator for Programmes & Recruitment, you will play a proactive role in shaping Bellway’s future talent landscape. You will shape, enhance and coordinate high-impact development programmes for apprentices, graduates and trainees, ensuring every stage of their journey supports Bellway’s long-term people strategy. Working closely with external training providers, you will help develop and deliver a market-leading early careers offering that develops future talent and builds the capabilities Bellway needs for continued success.

The role will also include commercial oversight of training partners and Apprenticeship Levy utilisation, ensuring strong return on investment and programme quality. You will use insight and data to continuously improve outcomes, retention and progression across all future talent pathways.

Working closely with the Future Talent Coordinator (Experience & Engagement) and the Recruitment and OD teams, you will act as the end-to-end process owner for future talent recruitment, leading attraction, selection and onboarding strategies to secure high-quality talent pipelines across apprenticeships, graduates and trainees.

Principal accountabilities of the role include:
  • Establish, maintain and develop strong working relationships with divisional teams and third‑party learning providers to ensure programmes align with long-term workforce needs.
  • Oversee funding planning including Apprenticeship Levy utilisation, forecasting and identifying opportunities to expand provision.
  • Lead and continuously improve the "Good Foundations" leadership programme, ensuring its content, structure and delivery remain future-focused and high quality.
  • Own annual future talent recruitment, including attraction strategy, employer branding, assessment design and selection methodology.
  • Coordinate enrolment, onboarding and pre-boarding for new graduates, trainees and apprentices, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Working closely with the Future Talent Coordinator (Experience & Engagement), define and monitor key success metrics, using data and insight to continuously improve programme effectiveness.
  • Proactively manage training providers and partners, including contract oversight, performance management and continuous improvement of delivery quality.
  • Represent Bellway at events across the UK and support activities to build an employer‑of‑choice brand and widen access to housebuilding careers.
  • Recognise and celebrate cohort achievements through events, awards and communications.
  • Act as Deputy Safeguarding Officer and ensure compliance with relevant procedures.
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of leading on and evolving early careers or talent programmes in a large and complex multisite organisation.
  • Experience of designing recruitment processes and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience using data to drive improvement and decision‑making.
  • Experience managing external partners/suppliers with commercial accountability.
  • Experience managing Apprenticeship Levy funding or working with provider funding agreements.
  • Experience influencing or shaping future talent or skills development activity at a strategic or programme level.

  • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.

The Role and Working Conditions
  • Willing to be flexible in respect to day‑to‑day duties and hours worked.
  • Office based role, Monday to Friday (flexible working with 1 remote day available) with some national travel requiring overnight stays.
