Job summary

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Group Commander for a permanent, full-time command role based at a designated response base in the West Midlands, UK. The role focuses on standby and rapid-response duties with weekend and on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate will have station commander-level experience, demonstrated command levels 1 and 2 proficiency, and relevant security clearances.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Command Assessment, if not already held
• Right to work in the UK without restrictions
• Valid UK driving licence, eligible to drive in the UK
• NPPV Level 2 Abbreviated security vetting
• Advanced national vetting such as SC, if required
• Medically fit, passing the medical and fitness tests

Responsibilities

• Standby and call-out duties from a designated response base
• Completing a conversion and induction programme if required
