Job summary

Imagination Technologies, a UK-based semiconductor IP leader, is seeking a senior accounting professional to oversee group financial reporting and related systems.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and partnering with the CFO, you will manage IFRS 15 revenue, leases and other complex transactions, lead the NetSuite to Workiva consolidation, and guide a team of two qualified accountants to deliver accurate, audit-ready reporting.

Qualifications

• Post-qualified experience in financial reporting roles including technical accounting and financial systems experience.
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency group environments.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and its application in a group environment.
• Experience optimizing NetSuite to enhance financial reporting and internal controls.
• Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review group financial statements and disclosures under UK/IFRS requirements.
• Own the group financial statement preparation from NetSuite to Workiva and maintain COA/cost centres.
• Lead revenue and lease accounting under IFRS 15 and other complex revenue transactions.
• Manage month-end close process and drive NetSuite workflow optimisations.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting analysis.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, this role partners with senior stakeholders across the business to explain the impact of accounting for customer contracts, leases, and other complex transactions. The role will have 2 direct reports that are experienced qualified accountants.

The role

You will be responsible for:

Financial Reporting

• Preparing and reviewing the financial statements and disclosures in accordance with the UK and IFRS reporting requirements
• Ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting
• Keeping abreast of changes in UK and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Leading the assessment and implementation of new and amended accounting standards.
• Owning and manage the group financial statement preparation from NetSuite to Workiva
• Optimising and maintaining the chart of accounts, cost centres, and custom fields in NetSuite.

Technical Accounting

• Accounting for revenue, leases, intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.
• Working with commercial and operational teams to ensure technical considerations are factored into business decisions.
• Liaising with external auditors on key accounting issues and provide supporting analysis.
• Developing and maintaining accounting policies, memoranda, and internal guidance manuals.

Revenue Accounting

• Managing the Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module in NetSuite
• Owning and developing IFRS 15 compliant revenue recognition policies
• Overseeing the financial accountant that owns the licence, support & maintenance, and royalty revenue accounting and billing
• Ensuring correct treatment of revenue-related balance sheet accounts
• Partnering with Sales and Legal on deal structuring providing input from a revenue recognition perspective

ERP Management & Optimisation

• Managing the month-end close process within NetSuite
• Leading projects to optimise NetSuite workflows, reporting, and consolidation
• Designing and implementing scalable month end close processes
• Helping to deliver training and knowledge-sharing on NetSuite and related tools across the finance team
• NetSuite experience with implementations or optimisations beneficial

• Proven track record of producing high-quality deliverables with thorough documentation supporting audit-ready deliverables.
• Experience optimising NetSuite to enhance financial reporting, financial operations, and internal controls.
