Role Overview
The Finance Manager provides essential day-to-day support across the business and is a key point of contact. The role supports the business commercially, leads transactional finance, month-end processing and administrative duties and owns the end-to-end finance for two recently acquired companies.This is an ideal role for an organised, detail-focused individual looking to build a career within a dynamic, international, private-equity-backed business.
Key Responsibilities
Transactional Finance
- Assist in raising customer invoices for professional services and recharged expenses
- Support maintaining up-to-date accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Support the FD with ad hoc operational reports
Expenses & Credit Cards
- Support administration of corporate cards and expense reports, ensuring timely submission and correct coding
- Check documentation for accuracy and follow up on missing or incorrect information
Month-End & Reporting Support
- Prepare month-end Management Information
- Lead P&L & Balance Sheet preparation, maintaining adequate month-end schedules
- Gather and validate financial data for management reporting across the business
- Own the maintenance of accurate financial records in financial systems
Cashflow & Working Capital
- Manage AP and AR trackers and highlight overdue balances, working with the business to drive timely cash management
- Own and submit 13-week Cash Flow to Finance Director
Compliance, Tax, Audit & Controls
- Lead preparation of documentation for year-end and external audit
- Maintain organised digital records for compliance and tax requirements across multiple entities
- Support adherence to internal controls, processes, and finance policies
- Support with opening new legal entities
Systems & Improvement
- Oversee and support data entry and integrity in finance systems
- Assist in documenting and improving finance processes to drive efficiency
- Assist with migration from legacy finance systems to NetSuite
Financial Reporting and Projects
- Provide financial analysis support and drive the business
- Assist on finance projects, implementations, and system enhancements
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA/ACCA, CIMA qualified
- Strong interest in developing a finance career; ambitious candidates from audit practice strongly encouraged to apply
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables)
- High level of attention to detail and standards of accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, professional attitude
- Ambitious and looking for a challenging opportunity and fast-tracked experience
- The flexibility to travel 1 week per month to Ireland and the North of England
Desirable / Nice to have
- Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system
- Experience within an international, multi-entity, or project-based business
- IFRS knowledge a plus.
