Job description

GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Location: Hampshire

Salary £75,000 – £85,000

Salary: depending on experience
Holiday: 23 days (plus Bank Holidays) increasing by 1 day per year up to 25 days

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious fully-qualified accountant with a proven track record in running a finance function. You will be willing to take a hands on approach, with a view to growing the finance team and processes.

Key duties for the Group Financial Controller :

  • – Managing the day-to-day finance function for the Hotel Group with the finance team
  • – Production of monthly management accounts, annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • – Analysis of variances between actual and forecasted/budgeted performance
  • – Develop and maintain sound financial controls and processes
  • – Production of daily and weekly sales/wages/P&L reporting
  • – Produce and transmit the monthly payroll via payroll bureau.
  • – Management of the annual audit process
  • – Ensure the company complies with statutory requirements, including the submission of VAT returns.
  • – Support the Group CFO and Company Managing Director with ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Qualifications and experience required of the Group Financial Controller:
  • – ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • – Previous experience in a similar role
  • – Strong Excel skills
  • – Accounts Package – Sage200
