Job description

Oxidise Group | Hybrid (Stratford-upon-Avon and London)
A senior finance leadership role within a growing, multi-entity marketing and media group.
About the Group

Oxidise is a privately owned, entrepreneurial marketing and media group comprising three operating businesses:

  • TMWI, an integrated marketing agency
  • Audience Store, a programmatic and audience-data specialist
  • Ruck, the UK's rugby union news and content platform

Established in 2000, the Group has worked with leading UK and global brands for more than 25 years and continues to grow strongly across all three businesses.

The role

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will take full ownership of the Group's finance function, leading a central team comprising an Accounts Manager and a Finance Executive. You will be responsible for accurate and timely management, consolidated and statutory reporting across all three businesses, and for maintaining robust financial controls throughout the Group.

Alongside the core reporting cycle, you will drive continuous improvement in how the function operates, applying automation to reduce manual processing, shorten the month-end close and create more time for commercial and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities
  • Overseeing the monthly management and consolidated accounts, including variance analysis, board packs and KPI reporting
  • Owning the annual budget and monthly reforecasting process, and supporting the Group CEO on business planning
  • Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital
  • Leading the preparation of statutory accounts, the annual audit, VAT returns (Making Tax Digital), corporation tax, P11Ds and R&D tax relief claims
  • Maintaining a robust internal control environment and ensuring compliance with evolving HMRC digital requirements, including e-invoicing
  • Developing MI, margin analysis and cost benchmarking across the Group and each operating company
  • Providing financial analysis and recommendations to the Group CEO
  • Leading, managing and developing the central finance team
About you

  • Proven experience of managing a finance team within a fast-growing SME
  • Experience of multi-entity group structures, including consolidation and intercompany reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with cloud accounting platforms and BI tools such as Power BI
  • A track record of strengthening financial controls and processes, including the application of automation and AI tools
  • Experience within media, advertising or digital/programmatic businesses is desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, close attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach suited to an owner-managed business
What's in it for you
  • Hybrid working between Stratford-upon-Avon and London
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
  • Your birthday off, on us
  • Office closure between Christmas and New Year, so you can switch off properly
  • Early Friday finishes during the summer months
  • A monthly subscription of your choice, such as Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Perkbox or Calm
  • Private medical insurance, covering all pre-existing medical conditions
  • Company pension
  • Long-term illness income support
