This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded Group Financial Controller to join a fast-scaling, multi-entity international business. You'll lead group reporting, statutory compliance, and internal controls, while supporting future growth and development across the group structure.

Our exclusive client is an international group with a significant UK footprint and a strong track record of expansion. Operating across multiple divisions and regions, the business has grown substantially in recent years. With further investment and transformation planned, the company is commercially ambitious, people-oriented, and committed to operational excellence. The head office is based in North Kent, and supports a group structure encompassing both UK and overseas entities.

Description

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Group Financial Controller will take full responsibility for consolidated reporting, statutory accounts, audit, and internal financial controls across the business. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role with visibility at board level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reporting
  • Managing consolidated accounts for multiple UK and overseas entities
  • Ensuring full compliance with IFRS/GAAP and all relevant statutory obligations
  • Driving financial control improvements and supporting systems development
  • Managing the external audit process and acting as the key audit liaison
  • Supporting working capital and cash flow forecasting at a group level
  • Mentoring and developing the finance team with a focus on performance and collaboration
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders across departments to align financial goals

Profile

A successful applicant for this Group Financial Controller role is likely to be ACA Qualified from a Top 10 firm, having gained some exposure to industry in a group finance capacity.

Additionally you must have:

  • Strong experience in group reporting and financial control in a complex environment
  • Proven background managing audits and statutory reporting across multi-entity structures
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP)
  • Systems-oriented with experience improving finance processes and controls
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach
  • Excellent IT skills, able to pick up, role out and adapt systems.
