Job description

Our client is a hugely successful, international consumer brand, now seeking a high-calibre Group Financial Controller to join their London-based finance team. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role across the global business. The position is based at a desirable central London location and offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all financial controls, maintaining and developing them as needed to support business growth and investment.
  2. Manage a finance team of approximately 5 members.
  3. Manage the treasury team and all cash flow responsibilities.
  4. Oversee the tax team and ensure global tax compliance, reporting, and liaise with internal and external tax advisors.
  5. Develop long-term tax strategies and manage transfer pricing.
  6. Own and develop all group accounting policies across the international business.
  7. Drive accurate year-end and half-year-end reporting, oversee the audit process, and manage external audit relationships.
  8. Lead ongoing financial transformation initiatives related to processes and systems within group finance.
Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a bright and driven finance professional, likely possessing an ACA/CA qualification gained within a top-tier practice environment. Relevant post-qualification experience in reporting, tax, and treasury is ideal, though candidates moving directly from practice are also encouraged to apply.

Experience in the retail or consumer sector would be valuable but is not essential.
