Job summary

Investigo is seeking a Group Financial Manager to oversee financial management and reporting across multiple sites in the UK. You will partner with operational stakeholders to drive performance, strengthen controls and support strategic decision-making.

Key duties include month-end close and consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow planning, and coordinating external audits. The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified with 1–5 years PQE and comfortable on-site five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and consolidation processes.

Job description

The Group Financial Manager / Group Finance Manager is responsible for the financial management and reporting of a portfolio of operational business units within a multi-site organisation. The role plays a key part in delivering accurate and insightful management information, supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, coordinating external audit requirements, and ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across designated entities. As an integral member of the central finance team, the Finance Manager will partner closely with operational stakeholders to drive performance, strengthen financial controls, and support strategic decision-making.Develop a strong understanding of each business unit, including key revenue streams, cost drivers, operational challenges and commercial points of difference.Support the month-end reporting and consolidation process, continuously reviewing reporting timetables, templates and outputs to improve efficiency, accuracy and business insight.Review and challenge monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet commentary, ensuring reporting is meaningful and value-adding.Perform regular reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.Monitor cash flow performance and oversee short and medium-term cash flow forecasting.Review and approve investment proposals, expenditure requests and business cases in line with governance requirements.Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processAssist with the external audit process and provide support to operational and finance stakeholders as required.Prepare statutory accounts and support year-end financial reporting requirements.Build strong relationships with operational teams through regular site visits and stakeholder engagement.Drive improvements in systems, processes, controls and ways of workingActively support business transformation initiatives and champion continuous improvement.Undertake ad hoc financial analysis, investigations, process reviews and control assessments to support business performance and governance.
