Job summary

Investigo is partnering with an ambitious international technology business to appoint an International Financial Controller in a London-based hybrid role. You will lead financial control, statutory reporting, audits and tax across multiple international entities, driving governance improvements and finance transformation.

The role reports to the CFO and offers strategic influence within a fast-growth environment, including payroll oversight and intercompany operations across currencies.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent professionally qualified accountant.
• Experience in financial control and group reporting across multiple entities.
• Experience with multi-currency and international tax compliance.
• Experience with audits and regulatory reporting.
• Strong systems knowledge including NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Owning the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process across multiple international entities.
• Leading group consolidations and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Managing statutory reporting, audits and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Overseeing multi-currency accounting, intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing arrangements.
• Acting as the key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
• Driving improvements to financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
• Leading finance transformation initiatives, automation projects and systems improvements.
• Improving close processes, reporting timelines and overall finance function efficiency.
• Supporting international expansion, including entity set-up, banking arrangements and local compliance requirements.
• Managing payroll oversight, accounts payable and broader international finance operations.
• Partnering closely with the CFO and wider leadership team to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
• Leading, mentoring and developing an international finance team.

International Financial Controller | High-growth Global Technology Business | London remote/Hybrid

I'm currently partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed international technology business as they look to appoint an International Financial Controller to support the continued scaling of their global finance function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for financial control, statutory compliance, reporting, audit, tax, process improvement and finance transformation across multiple international entities.

Candidate Profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professionally qualified accountant


• Big 4 trained highly desirable


• Significant post-qualified experience within Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, International Controller or similar roles


• Experience operating within technology, software, SaaS or other high-growth international businesses


• Strong financial reporting, consolidation and statutory accounting experience


• Proven experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency international structures


• Exposure to US GAAP, IFRS and international reporting environments preferred


• Track record of leading audits, compliance and regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions


• Experience driving finance transformation, automation and process improvement initiatives


• Strong systems capability, ideally including NetSuite or similar ERP platforms


• Previous leadership experience managing and developing international finance teams


• Commercially minded with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced growth environment
