Job summary

The IN Group is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations across multiple jurisdictions from its London base, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, strong financial governance, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.

The role also supports reporting to the HQ of an overseas listed company, with responsibilities covering treasury, tax, audits and system improvements to maintain data integrity and performance insights.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 12+ years of relevant finance experience, multi-entity or international environment preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and reporting across the group, ensuring timely monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
• Deliver accurate management accounts, variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Support HQ reporting and ensure compliance with group deadlines.
• Maintain strong controls over revenue, costs and gross profit, and manage audits.
• Oversee tax, VAT, transfer pricing and regulatory filings across jurisdictions.
• Partner with FP&A for planning, forecasting and strategic decisions.

My client is a high growth global talents solutions business looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller that will oversee the company’s financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, strong financial governance, effective tax management, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.

The role will also support reporting requirements to the HQ of an overseas listed company ensuring financial information is prepared accurately and in a timely manner to support group disclosure and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and reporting team, overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across the group.
• Deliver accurate management accounts, variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Support reporting requirements for HQ and ensure compliance with group reporting deadlines.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reconciliations across revenue, contractor costs and gross profit.
• Manage statutory audits and relationships with external auditors and advisors.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and financial reporting requirements.

Tax & Compliance

• Lead the group tax function across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and other statutory filings.
• Manage transfer pricing, tax governance and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with external advisors on tax planning, audits and complex tax matters.

Payroll & Commission

• Oversee payroll processing and employee bonus/commission calculations.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Support the CFO in managing treasury, liquidity and cash flow across the group.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor funding requirements.
• Manage banking relationships, facilities and FX exposure.
• Ensure robust controls over payments and treasury activities.

Cost Control

• Oversee procurement controls and expense management.
• Support budgeting and cost-saving initiatives across the business.

Systems & Data Integrity

• Drive continuous improvement of finance systems and ERP platforms.
• Support finance transformation and system enhancement projects.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems.

Business Performance & Finance Operations

• Develop and maintain finance policies, controls and performance metrics.
• Oversee reporting of revenue, gross profit and consultant performance data.
• Support management with business performance analysis and risk identification.
• Partner with FP&A to support planning, forecasting and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• 12+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a multi-entity or international environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central.
