An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Group Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed business at a pivotal stage in its evolution. Operating within a dynamic, acquisitive environment, this is a high-profile leadership role offering the chance to transform the finance function, strengthen governance and controls, and play a key role in preparing the business for its next phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Group Financial Controller will lead the development of a best-in-class finance function, driving the transition from fragmented reporting and legacy processes to a highly automated, data-driven finance environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Data and the wider business, you will ensure the integrity of the Group’s financial reporting, oversee complex consolidations, lead post-acquisition integrations and embed scalable controls that support continued expansion.
The candidate for this Group Financial Controller role will suit a technically strong, commercially minded finance leader with significant experience in a large, complex, multi-site organisation. You will have a proven track record within a private equity-backed or leveraged business, alongside demonstrable success delivering finance transformation, systems improvement and process automation. Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is essential, as is the ability to lead, develop and inspire high-performing teams through change. Experience within people-based services, recruitment, SaaS or subscription-based businesses would be advantageous.
