Here at SAPI we specialize in building, tailoring, funding, and managing custom financing products to help businesses thrive. Our mission is to provide liquidity for the global payment ecosystem through an all-encompassing API for business credit products. We are on the hunt for a Group Financial Controller who is both experienced and enthusiastic about elevating our financial operations to new heights!
About The Role
We’re looking for a Group Financial Controller to lead financial operations and reporting across SAPI Group, our SPVs, and capital provider partners. Sitting at the crossroads of structured finance, lending operations, and technical control, you’ll manage accounting, cash operations, reporting, and compliance — from today’s warehouse facility to future credit lines — while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and trust at every step.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting, cash operations, and financial controls across SAPI Group, our SPVs, and our capital provider interfaces.
- Own month-end and year-end closes, management accounts, and audit processes for multiple entities.
- Keep our SPV accounting watertight – from loan flows to revenue waterfalls.
- Oversee daily cash operations, funding flow reconciliations, and facility metrics.
- Be the go-to person for funder reporting, explaining not just what the numbers are, but why they matter.
- Collaborate with our Product & Tech teams to validate and automate reporting.
- Manage VAT strategy and coordinate with advisors for compliance across borders.
- Support and guide our Vietnam finance team members.
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW (or equivalent) qualified.
- Proven ability to prepare and sign off management accounts across multi-entity structures, with expertise in intercompany reconciliations and consolidation logic.
- Strong track record in multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and SPV audits.
- Solid grasp of VAT in financial services and revenue waterfall logic.
- Clear communicator who can work seamlessly with operations, legal, tech, and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and confident in owning the numbers end-to-end.
