Job summary

Marks Sattin Ltd is recruiting for a fast-growing PE-backed business. The Group Financial Controller will lead the finance function across a growing portfolio of businesses, based just outside Bolton with a hybrid working model.

The role covers group consolidation, timely management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, year-end statutory accounts, VAT and finance team leadership, with involvement in acquisitions as the business expands.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Experience working for a complex business
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Experience consolidating accounts (preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in a PE-backed environment (distinct advantage)
• Excellent staff management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the group consolidated financial statements

• Lead on improving processes and systems throughout the organisation

Marks Sattin is recruiting for a fast‑growing PE‑backed business. The Group Financial Controller will work out of an office just outside Bolton and will be responsible for leading the finance function across a growing portfolio of businesses.
