Group Financial Controller
Coventry | Up to £65,000 | 5 Days On-Site

Are you a hands-on finance professional ready to take the lead in a dynamic, growing business? We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing and engineering group based near Coventry, who are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Group Financial Controller to oversee all day-to-day financial operations across the group.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this is a pivotal role where you'll have full oversight of the finance function, from statutory compliance and financial reporting to cash flow, budgeting, and internal controls. It's a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a strategic yet operational leadership role, with real impact and visibility across the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis

Driving improvements in processes and systems across the finance function

Overseeing all compliance requirements - from tax and HMRC filings to statutory accounts and audits

Managing the annual budgeting process and supporting commercial decision-making

Taking full responsibility for cash flow forecasting and financial risk management

Mentoring and supporting a small, capable finance team

Acting as the go-to person for project costing, stock takes, R&D documentation, and company secretarial duties

What We're Looking For:

A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with solid post-qualification experience

Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and tax legislation

A natural leader who thrives on structure, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Experience using ERP systems

Excellent communicator who can confidently engage with all levels of the business

Someone who enjoys being on-site and embedded in day-to-day operations
