Job description

With an number of innovative products taking hold in expanding markets the future is very exciting and this is a great time to join this market leading tech organisation. The Group Financial Controller will have day to day responsibility for managing the Group Finance team including all elements of internal and external reporting. Reporting to the CFO you will be the Key Finance leader for the business.

This is a world leader in their field, an established tech business that is enjoying great success with some new and ground breaking products. They design and manufacture their products and sell to customers around the world.

As Group Financial Controller you will report to the CFO and have responsibility for the Commercial Finance and Group Finance teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Day-to-day responsibility for managing the Group Finance team including all elements of internal and external reporting. This includes monthly performance reporting for BU and Group, along with Forecast, Budget and Strategic reporting and responsibility for group finance reporting, including commentary, variance analysis, support and challenge to BUs
  • Assist CFO and CEO in twice yearly external results preparation and announcements - key statements preparation, messaging, and communication
  • Managing Business Finance team, including establishing and maintaining key Business partnering across the Group
  • Delivering strong business partnering across the Group
  • Managing and improving accounting services provision across the group - in cash management, AP, AR etc
  • Establish Group reporting timetable - with efficient month end process, reporting deadlines
  • Brief Exec team on group performance and highlight key indicators and establish 'early warning system' on performance
  • Responsibility for producing 3 Year Plan for Group
  • Drive Group strategy, Budgeting and Forecasting (P&L and Cash) process across all BUs
  • Provides standard group templates and reporting structures for reporting, Strategic Plan, Forecast etc
  • Manage Treasury - cash management, optimising cash balances, FX currency management and optimisation
  • Mentoring and supporting the finance team and wider business on the topics of risk and controls
  • Involvement in one-off projects like M&A, system integration, etc
  • Project appraisal and evaluations
  • Provide development opportunities and paths for team members
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

We are looking for a driven candidate with the desire to challenge the status quo. You will work effectively with the SLT and be a strong team leader. You will be a qualified ACA finance professional with excellent communications skills and be willing to get involved in the wider business.

C£150,000 plus Bonus plus LTIP's
