Job summary

Marston Holdings is recruiting a Group Management Accounting Manager on a 14–16-month maternity cover contract. Hybrid role with two days per week in Rochdale office.

You will lead group month-end reporting, balance sheet governance and financial control across a multi-entity environment, coordinating external audits. The ideal candidate is a professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with IFRS/UK GAAP expertise and proven experience in group consolidations and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience delivering group month-end reporting and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead group month-end close and balance sheet governance.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
• Coordinate external audit and respond to auditor queries.
• Drive process improvement and strengthen financial controls.
• Manage and develop a small finance team, including offshore resources.
• Support legal entity rationalisation and asset/liability transfers.
