Position Profile

The Group Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting group consolidation activities, maintaining financial control within the ERP system, and delivering high-quality reporting for group leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Finance Manager, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of month-end reporting and supporting year-end compliance deliverables including audit and tax.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial results across multiple European entities.
2. Review and prepare journal entries and ensure correct invoice allocations and ledger accuracy.
3. Perform and develop robust balance sheet reconciliations to enhance financial integrity.
4. Assist in producing monthly group reporting packs, including insightful commentary on financial variances.
5. Engage in the year-end audit process, including the drafting of financial statements and audit documentation.
6. Liaise with external tax advisors to assist in the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns.
7. Contribute to the preparation of VAT returns and compliance reporting.
8. Work within the ERP system to ensure data accuracy and support system improvements.
9. Act as a key contributor to ongoing finance transformation projects and process automation.
10. Build effective working relationships across the finance function to ensure knowledge sharing and reduce key-person dependency.

Person Profile

1. Recently qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA), ideally with exposure to group finance or international reporting environments.
2. Experience working in a multi-entity structure, preferably with a European focus.
3. High attention to detail, with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
4. Confident communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach to problem solving.
5. Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving organisation.
7. Demonstrated ability to deliver on deadlines and support continuous improvement.
8. Strong Excel skills, with working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
