About our client

This is an exciting opportunity to join a European focused private debt investor through an exciting period of growth. This newly created role will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and play a key role in supporting senior management with the day-to-day operations of the group finance function. The Group Financial Accountant will contribute to the monthly close process and lead on the preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory reporting for group entities across multiple jurisdictions. You will manage the relationship with third-party accountants, ensuring accurate data delivery and reconciliation within the internal accounting systems, while also supporting junior colleagues in the payment oversight processes. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive process improvements, enhance controls, and implement automation and technology solutions. What the job involves
  • Support monthly close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting
  • Prepare statutory accounts and assist with audits, regulatory filings, and tax submissions across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with external accounting providers to ensure timely and accurate financial data
  • Assist junior team members with core finance operations such as payables, receivables, expenses, and cash management
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support to senior team members
  • Contribute to process improvements through system enhancements and automation initiatives
Who we are looking for
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Experience in financial reporting, consolidations and preparing statutory accounts
  • Experience working in the alternative investment industry is desirable
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in data warehouses and data visualising tools is desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
