Job description

White Horse is exclusively partnering with a PE-backed Services business for the recruitment of a Group Financial Accountant. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a market-leading, award-winning business that has built a fantastic local reputation. They are one of the top local employers, with roles rarely on the market.

This is the perfect opportunity for a technically minded accountant to take ownership of month-end tasks, monthly reporting, and financial reporting for the Group.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the accuracy of monthly financials in compliance with IFRS, maintaining relationships with external accountants and advisors.
  2. Oversee compliance with financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and statutory, tax, and regulatory submissions (e.g., VAT, corporation tax).
  3. Manage and improve the financial control framework, including cash flow forecasting and liaising with external auditors.
  4. Support compliance, business risk initiatives, and collaborate on tax planning and indirect taxation with the tax team and external advisers.
  5. Maintain the integrity of the consolidated finance system and provide support to the Finance Director and Financial Controller as needed.

Ideally, you will come from an audit background and have some exposure to industry, with an understanding of how your skills can be transferred into working in industry. You will be ACCA/ACA qualified with ambition to grow and develop for one of the best employers in Wiltshire.
