FryerMiles is recruiting a fully qualified Group Financial Accountant to join a growing international hospitality group at an exciting development stage. You will report to the Group Financial Controller and contribute to statutory compliance, tax and financial controls across UK, US and international markets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for UK and international entities and support Group consolidations.
• Support UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting requirements.
• Assist with annual reports, technical accounting papers and new standards.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and meet deadlines.
• Support corporation tax compliance, VAT returns and year-end reporting.
• Assist with capital allowance reviews for openings/refurbishments.
• Maintain and strengthen balance sheet reconciliation framework.
• Improve financial controls and processes across the international business.
• Support Sage Intacct integrations with EPOS and other systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting.
• Assist with monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting and month-end close.
• Provide finance support on projects including site openings and acquisitions.

Group Financial Accountant - £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits - Battersea, South West London (5 days on site)

FryerMiles is working on an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join a growing international hospitality group at an exciting stage of its development.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role across financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit, tax and financial controls, with exposure to operations across the UK, US and other international markets.

This is a broad role offering excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a genuine impact as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for UK and international entities and support Group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
• Support UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting requirements, including conversion work where required.
• Assist with annual reports, technical accounting papers and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Manage relationships and information requests with external auditors, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support corporation tax compliance, VAT returns, reconciliations and year-end tax reporting.
• Assist with capital allowance reviews relating to new openings and refurbishment projects.
• Maintain and strengthen the Group's balance sheet reconciliation framework.
• Review and improve financial controls, processes and procedures across the international business.
• Support the ongoing development of Sage Intacct, including interfaces with EPOS and other business systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation, improved reporting and greater efficiency across finance processes.
• Support monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting, as well as month-end and year-end close.
• Provide finance support on projects including new site openings, acquisitions, financing initiatives and restructuring.
• Maintain accurate reporting around deferred revenue.
• Assist with ONS returns and other regulatory submissions.
• Work closely with the wider finance team and operational stakeholders on finance-related queries and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.

You will ideally have:

• Experience working within a Group environment, including consolidations.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and statutory accounts.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
